CURRENT:

Co-Plant Manager of world class assembly

facility, Zigong Sediver (Seves group) China.

In April 2005, as a result of the acquisition of the French company Sediver, Vincenzo Montenero was selected and appointed by the executive management of Seves group to support the local management and supersede the reindustrialization project of the Zigong site; already a world leading assembly facility for the assembly of electric glass insulators.

MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Project and construct three new production lines and revise the existing two (+120% production capacity); cost cutting; upgrade of automation level; improvement of internal logistics and material flow; reorganization of workforce; improvement of quality of process/product, and of traceability and maintenance plan; reach readiness stage to implement “Zero Defect Policy”; reorganize internal procedures and reports; as well as improve intra-group communication and IT structure.

2004-2005: Product Manager / Research & Development Engineer - Ultra High Vacuum, Superconductivity and Cryogenics (FinBer group) Parma, Italy.

This position at RIAL Vacuum S.p.A. - Ultra High Vacuum, Superconductivity and Cryogenics (FinBer group) stemmed from a period of research at the University of Parma in collaboration with industrial companies. The responsibilities of Vincenzo Montenero were to project and produce hi-tech components for the most advanced research labs in the world (such as LHC project of CERN in Geneva, CH); certify such in accordance with the high quality standards of customers; monitor them in the evolution of their complex projects; and administer the related data flux.

2000 – 2002: Information Technology Manager for business clients of Brain Technology - Parma, Italy.

Vincenzo Montenero was responsible for deployment & maintenance of computer hardware, software; Intranet and Internet structure according to the needs of customers, like for example the set up of all the IT support (offices, press room, conference room, Internet point, registration and assistance) for the ITalia Expo fair.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

• 2005 Master “Advanced Diploma – Business in China” of Bocconi University (in collaboration with ISPI – Institute of International Politics Studies): selected by “Progetto Cina” (China Project, involving Italy-China Foundation, Assolombarda-Industries of Lombardy Association, ICE-Institute for Foreign Commerce, Banca Popolare di Milano, and sponsored by a pool of companies).
  
  
• Relevant subjects: management, business planning, marketing, project financing, cross cultural management, Chinese and international law, Chinese language, social, politic and cultural studies of China.
  
  
• Selected for the second phase (with grant) for the applied commercial/industrial project in China.
  
  
• 2004 – Dottore (equivalent to Master of Science) in Mechanical Engineering at Parma University.
  
  
• THESIS SUBJECT: “Friction Stir Welding - Saldatura ad attrito e rimescolamento”, in collaboration with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Köln (Germany). Operating in the international context of industrial Hi-Tech, deepened Vincenzo’s knowledge on Aluminium alloys (including the most recent) and the evolution of the materials for transport systems (aerospace, naval, terrestrial) and building.
  
  
• SPECIALIZATION in Robotics / Industrial Automation and Economics / Industrial Organization.
  
  
• Periods at the Universities of Alfred (New York, USA), Xian Yang (China); collaborations & visits to several American & European companies - Thanks to which; Vincenzo Montenero deepened his technical and scientific knowledge in a “real world” industrial context; learning different approaches to problem solving and work methods. He also assimilated effective methods of interacting with people & workgroups belonging to different cultures, thus leading the projects to their complete execution.
